Car hire included Swimming pool This traditional Cretan stone built house (150sqm) is situated in the village of Agios Konstantinos, on the Lassithi Plateau, within the impressive range of Dikti Mountains of central eastern Crete. The Lassithi Plateau is a fertile high plain, renowned for its white sailed wind pumps. About 8 km from the village of Agios Konstantinos, is the famous Diktaen cave, a source of ancient legends, a pre-Minoan place of worship, and regarded with great mythological significance as the birthplace of the God Zeus.
This cosy house has been designed in a traditional Cretan style to a very comfortable standard and is suitable for up to 8 people. The house has been lovingly furnished throughout with original, traditional fittings. It has two large bedrooms each containing a double bed and twin beds. The fully equipped kitchenette leads through a small archway, to a dining area, which in turns leads through another archway to a spacious living room. The house has two bathrooms, one outside of the main house, with a shower/WC and one inside the house, fitted with a home spa, to include hydro massage and “Hammam” (steam treatment). Heating, satellite TV, DVD, hi-fi system, washing machine, microwave, electric iron, hairdryer and a traditional stone oven are all at guests’ disposal to ensure a truly comfortable stay. Villa Zeus has its own private parking, and is surrounded by pretty 2000sqm gardens with trees and shrubs, and within this a 32sqm swimming pool, with children’s pool. As the house is situated in the village, shops, mini markets and tavernas are all within easy walking distance. Its location makes it a good base for daily excursions to the eastern side of the island. This house offers visitors an insight into the original and authentic Cretan way of life, yet has all the added comforts of modern life.
