Car hire include Swimming pool This 16th century rural villa Palladio was renovated and completed within a period of five years, in order to once again offer the ideal holiday choice for those who know and value quality, simple luxury and comfort, together with fond memories of traditional Crete. The villa is situated at the edge of the traditional and graphic village Chromonastiri, within the protected area of the NATURA network.
On the ground floor there are three areas. A detached 36sqm apartment with one bedroom with a wrought iron double bed of that era, sitting room and bathroom. There is also an arched room for various uses and a modern and full equipped kitchen, with gas cooker, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. In this open plan area you can make your own or have your breakfast and meals cooked for you, enjoying them whilst sitting at the long wooden monastery type table of that era, with enough space for 10 place settings. Upon request there is the opportunity to take some cooking lessons or demonstrated with the preparing and cooking traditional food. At the top of the stone steps is a small veranda with a wonderful view and the two old entrances that leads to the interconnecting “Erotokritos” and “Aretousa” apartments. The “Erotokritos” is the master bedroom with double bed, which is connected to a small sitting room with fireplace, an old Turkish Hamam and bathroom. The apartment to the west has a small veranda and an old outside WC. The “Aretousa” apartment has a large high ceiling 28sqm sitting room with comfortable sofas, dining room table, satellite TV, DVD & CD player, and a small fridge for soft drinks and beverages. There are also two bedrooms with single beds and a bathroom. The villa also offers a safety deposit box, a pharmacy box, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. In the village Chromonastiri you can find a traditional café (kafenion), two tavernas and a mini market. The nearest sandy beach is 7km away and more facilities can be found in Rethymnon 10km away.
