Car hire included Swimming pool These pretty detached maisonettes called Argyro, Vangelio and Katherina, are situated 10km inland from Rethymnon in a lofty position on the top of a small mountain, with breathtaking panoramic views over the impressive ’Prassanos gorge’, the undulating countryside, and the sea in the distance. The nearest beach is 9km away.
Each little house has its own garden with a 32sqm swimming pool, sunbeds and a barbecue area, and is surrounded by decorative flower beds, shrubs and attractive stone flagged paths. Each maisonette is about 65sqm in size, designed with style and quality, and is suitable for 3-5 people. On the ground floor there is a cosy open plan living/dining area and modern kitchenette, with coffee machine, a dining table, a comfortable seating area with one sofabed, satellite TV, CD player, and air conditioning (at an extra local charge). Each house has its own cardphone, and telephone cards can be bought at most kiosks. From the living area one reaches a twin bedroom and a bathroom/WC, and a wooden staircase leads up to a sleeping gallery with a French double bed (suitable for 1 adult or 2 children). From the patio in front of the maisonette one can bask in truly glorious views. The little mountain village of Prassies is a short drive away; the nearest taverna is in Gianoudi (about 6km) and more tavernas can be found some 9km away. The owner who lives close by, drives to Rethymnon every day, and is happy to do errands for guests. This is a lovely spot for people looking for a really peaceful holiday and with the mountains and the gorge nearby, this a great spot for keen walkers, and bird watchers.
