Full of character and charm this lovingly restored old village house, built in 1885, is situated off a tiny side street just beyond the church, in the atmospheric traditional village of Atsipopoulo, about 3,5 km west of the town of Rethymnon, and 2,5 km from the nearest beach.

The villa is 125sqm in size, and with two bedrooms is ideal for up to 4 people. Further there is a private swimming pool of 30sqm in size. Villa Anastasia has a spacious split-level living/dining area with beamed ceilings, various antiques, round dining table, and 2 sofas. A stone archway, leads to a small well equipped kitchenette with a huge stone fireplace, full size cooker and large fridge freezer. There is also a shower/WC, with small washing machine on this floor. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor where there is a shower/WC with a small bath, and two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. A beautiful large stone sun terrace leads off the double bedroom offering lovely open views over the edge of the old village, and beyond to the sea.

A few steps across a paved passageway, opposite the villa lies a beautiful little private walled garden with stone built barbecue and seating area, and the swimming pool. This is a perfect secluded and romantic spot for relaxing, and dining outdoors. The passageway between the villa and its garden also forms a walkway with a right of way. The combination of traditional style with modern comforts will guarantee a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Shops and tavernas can be found in the centre of the village, approx. 200 metres away. The handsome large town of Rethymnon offers a wide choice of shops, tavernas, cafes and bars. Car hire is recommended.
